Kenya Ruera Estate - Kiambu (200g)
A vibrant and juicy expression of Kenyan terroir, this coffee opens with the unmistakable brightness of grapefruit and passion fruit. As it cools, layers of tropical candy and ripe strawberries unfold, creating a playful yet refined cup. The body is round and juicy, while the finish lingers with a clean, sweet complexity.
FARM: Ruera Estate

Kenya Ruera Estate arrived to our roastery via EL CAFÉ, a company established in 2000 by Vasileios G. Anastasopoulos that is solely concerned in the coffee producing countries with discovering new coffee varieties on special farms.
Since then they supplie most of the largest coffee producing companies in Greece, by remaining as a dedicated green coffee import and trading company.

Varietals & Process
This lot features a balanced mix of Kenya’s most iconic and resilient varieties:
SL28 – celebrated for its bold acidity and longevity,
Ruiru 11 – disease-resistant and rich in body,
Batian – a newer hybrid offering both productivity and flavor,
K7 – less common, but prized for cup brightness.
The natural process employed here allows the full sugar content of the cherry to infuse the bean during drying. Careful rotation and attention on the beds ensure uniformity and cleanliness in the cup—a bold yet elegant alternative to Kenya’s traditional washed lots.
